Christmas Question!

What are you giving your FI for Christmas (or Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or other holiday you celebrate)???

Re: Christmas Question!

  • I don't have any one big thing for FI this year, so just a bunch of smaller things. I got him a pea coat, two polos, a sweater, slippers, cologne, and then a whole bunch of stuff to put in his stocking. My parents are getting him the big stuff this year haha, a bunch of power tools!

  • I bought him a circular saw that matches his drill set. It's what he wanted. After that i just picked up a few things and some stuff for his stocking. :)

  • We are keeping it simple this year too and put a $50 cap on the gift so I just got him a nice robe from LL Bean that has his initials embroidered on it.  He is always so jealous of mine so I finally bought him one!

  • My FI races so I bought him a track day for a tournament next year. That's all he ever asks for..track days! But I'd rather I spend the $400 for a Christmas or birthday present than have him spend that himself during the year plus the money I would have spent on a present.

Same here!  A new deck and a wedding are good enough for now!
  • We were thinking of not exchanging gifts this year but decided to do it anyway, I love opening gifts!

I got him a new camera, cleaning supplies for his truck (it's so dusty!), hunting shirt, a movie, and hunting boots. Doesn't feel like a lot but the boots were expensive! I usually get tired of buying him hunting stuff- he asks for them every.single.year. New decoys, new boots, new bibs, hunting supplies are not fun to shop for!

  • He loves dark choc. covered cherries...so got him those...and the Stephen King book Bag of Bones.  That is all...we put a $20 limit for each other!
  • We decided to keep it simple this year.  I bought him some new clothes, a new pair of boots, socks, and knitted him a big comfy scarf.

  • I got FI a Kindle, new jeans and a shirt, some socks (his are awful and have holes in them... haha) and his "weird" gift is this mustard blend sauce from a place called Texadelphia. It's soooooooo good, FI puts it on his cheese steaks and me on my chicken tenders. :]
  • I think i went alittle overboard with Fi this year...
I got him 2 sweaters, socks, season 1 and 2 of Flashpoint, Dvd of original christmas favorites movies, the muppets christmas movie (that was really for me,, he he), 2 CDs, a measuring tape and flashlight he wanted, a book, toy story DVD, umm I think thats it..

  • Since I haven't been working we are taking it easy on gifts this year. I got him a controller for his PS3 and the madden game he wanted. But one of those is for his birthday, which is tomorrow. I told him its going to be pretty hard for him to beat last years gift, which was my engagment ring!

  • He only really asked for little things. I think the most expensive thing I got him was rain guards for his new car we just got and that only cost me 80. Everything else was pretty small, DVDs, car charger for phone, clothes.

  • We put a limit of $150 on each other and we both know what hteother one is getting them for a "big" gift.  I got him a kindle and a 3DS game that he wanted and some small things.

  • Every year we say we aren't exchanging gifts.  It NEVER works out that way.  We usually end up getting each other at least three or four gifts.  This year I got FI a Carolina Panthers football and ornament, a set of all three Mummy movies, Some LifeBouy soap, from A Christmas story for his stocking. and I am still looking for stocking stuffers.

  • We set a cap of 75$. I already gave him an iPad stand, a book I really liked as a kid and the movie ET (about 25$ together) when we were exchanging gifts with my family, but  I'm still looking for something really nice. And I can't think of anything.
