Hello Ladies!I am newly engaged. It's my second wedding and FI's second as well. My daughter asked the Do's and Don'ts of Second Wedding and some of you were very encouraging. It warmed my heart and gave me courage in the sight of many haters.I am looking forward to planning my wedding now and I'm sure we'll get on just fine.

I recall that a daughter posted about mom, so I am glad you decided to check us out.  Congratulations on your engagement!  We're having a good time on this board, dealing with real life while planning our weddings.

Welcome Darlene -your daughter was so sweet-- nice job Mama!  Glad she convinced you to join us. 

Pay no attention to the haters-- they don't recognize that the wisdom we've gained along the way makes us see through their starry eyed beliefs that something must be wrong with us since our first (or subsequent) marriages didn't work out.  I cannot begin to tell you how many times I've read a post and thought, Oh sweetie, that was so ME 26 years ago, don't do it!
