It's official the wedding ticker say's 1 month to go

30 day's left and I just now ordered my dress.  I know, there would be gasps on the other boards, but, I know you ladies understand. 

I figured it was pretty sad when the MOH, BM and Jr. BM all had their dresses and the groom already had his suit (even thought he did just go pull it off the rack without trying it on and bought it) and the Bride didn't even have her dress.

Here's the middleaged practicle rational that works so well for all of us.....

In my own defense I've been dieting for the past 8 weeks and was wanting to order my dress in the one size, but, was waiting as long as I could to see if I'd fit into it.  When I went with my daughter to David's Bridal to order the jr. BM dresses, I tried on a dress similar to the one that I'm ordering on line and it fit, stil a bit big on top and a little snug at the waist, but, with still 6 weeks to go I figured I could go ahead.  So now I just need to get my butt off this computer, put my exercise time in and hopefully, it will work.  If not, I guess I just can't breathe that day nor can I have any donuts. 

PS  on a side note, I had to fire my scale because it just wasn't cooperating and now I think it's gone on strike because it's not even coming on even with a new battery.  Either that or it just doesn't want to hurt my feelings.. .

I'm very excited for you!! I hope your dress/gown is everything you want it to be and totally get the whole diet and exercise stuff. I have logged 6 miles so far this week and plan on having 10 down before Saturday.  We have been watching portions and carbs for the past three weeks.

I also understand how you feel about the groom-to-be, and your ladies have their outfits and you haven't ordered yours!  My FI has his tux and most of the accessories for it, two of my ladies have their gowns...and well Saturday I will be trying on 6 gowns (one of them has to be IT).

I fired the FI's scale a long time ago it lies - one day you can be your ideal weight and the very next 5 lbs heavier!  And it changes depending where you stand on it. LOL

Wow one month to go!! Yay for you!! I still have 199 days... eppp...

Wow, one month.  I can't imagine how excited you must be!

As far as the delaying ordering the dress, yes, we can all understand.  I hope that it is all you are hoping for.

I didn't even want to think about setting a date until I lost some weight.  Sad, I know.  I'm proud to say I lost 50 lbs before January this year.  I was going to Phoenix with my older sister and wanted to try on some dresses from a designer that no one carried here.  Now if I can just get the last 15 lbs off or so.  The salon where I am getting my dress from was having a sale a while back, so I called and asked if I paid the deposit that day over the phone if I could have the sale price.  I have a goal of the end of Sept. or beginning of October to go in and get measured.

The scale definitely isn't a friend of mine either.  It fluctuates daily so don't get discouraged ladies.  Pick one day of the week to count as the "official" weigh in.  The fluctuations can give you hints of how certain foods impact you.  One of the best tips I can pass along is to drink lots of water.  If you are trying to lose weight, stive for 100 oz.

Of course, no gasps here re: "the dress."  Check that off and roar into something else.  Good for you!

Thanks Ladies,

    I just checked the Fed Ex tracking on my dress which was shipped out yesterday afternoon and it made it to KY.  It's scheduled to be delivered here tomorrow.  FI and I are going away for the weekend (today's our 2nd anniversary of our 1st date) camping without the kids.  YEAH!!!!!!  Thats why I love him   So I've already warned the boys that as soon as they see the Fed Ex truck they better haul it out there and get the bos so it doesnt get rained on.  Funny thing is every time FI and I go camping my packages arrive....this time I know I'm going to be chomping at the bit to see it. 

     Last night I gave FI a gift bag of fall color Hershey Kisses and a note that said 'One kiss for every day until we get married".  He's just like a kid, couldn't eat just one.  LOL...

Have a great weekend Erin.  The Hershey Kisses was a sweet thing to do.  Can't wait to hear an update re: the dress on Monday.  (If not before).
