New to board

Hi there! I've been lurking boards and made a couple of old posts from here. Just thought I'd introduce myself. I am getting married on 10.10.10 in Austin, TX. This is my first wedding (2nd marriage) and his 2nd marriage. We first decided to elope  but after discussing our plan with the families, our wedding has evolved from a destination to backyard wedding to a formal wedding. We're both really excited!

Welcome!  Your plan sound exciting.  Just a brief caution, though:  If you've been married before, then unless it was strictly a common law marriage, you've had a wedding before.  There are some here who want to have small civil ceremonies, and don't want what they are having to be treated as somehow not a "wedding."

no offense - no apologies needed! it's probably the only thing this board is somewhat picky about.

i love austin - what a great place to live... and get married in. looking forward to hearing more about it!
