Thanks ladies,
Everything is on track. Since the engagement was so long the planning has been stress free. Working on invites now, the fiance is printing the insert cards next week, and the ladies, especially the mother and mother in law are excited to get going on them, I'm having all the ladies over to help me assemble them. I am so lucky and blessed that the whole family is thrilled about my upcoming wedding, everyone is just as excited as me. 

I wouldn't expect any less from my BIG FAT GREEK FAMILY!!!!

I have a DOC who is going to take care of all the little details that will just give me a stress headache. Since I suffer from migranes, I am making sure I get everything done way ahead of time to take out all stress factors.

You know, I alternate between being excited and being rather ho-hum about it.  I don't know if it's because we've been together for almost 7 years and living together for the last 3-1/2 years.  Or maybe I'll just get more and more excited as June moves on.

Alpha - my mom and future MIL are very excited as well.  Of course neither live in the area and will fly in for the wedding.  I do have a bestest friend who is a living doll and she has enough enthusiasm for both of us.

This has just been a weird time - dad dying in October, finally getting officially engaged, going through menopause, adult son having difficulties, a friend in hospice in her final days...it's hard to focus on the good, you know?

Rawr, so cool that you got your dress, can't wait for mine, it's due at the end of the month.

Marrin, so sorry about your friend in hospice and your son, I know it's hard to focus when others are suffering. I just talked to one of my oldest and dearest friends today and this economy is kicking she and her husband's a$$. They are both sales persons.

I count my blessings daily. I understand your attitude, but try to focus on your happiness, you so deserve it.

Congratulations on your 100 day's, I can't wait to get there myself.  Any words of advice as we get closer to our 100 day's?  Again congratulations, I'm so happy for you.

Marrin, sorry your having such a difficult time, things have a way of working there way out and hopefully, you'll be back on track with all the excitment you deserve.  Take care

Thanks Erin, I have no advice, I just used weddingwire.com checklists and add to it and do the things that are supposed to be done each month. I put all my guests and their addresses in the list, made a budget and tried to beat it!!! The fiance has helped with everything he was asked to help me with, and I am pretty zen about the whole thing. 

As long as FI and I and our families and the officient show up, I'm good because at the end of the day I'll be married! All the rest, It will all work out.  I hired good vendors and not doing too much DYI, just the invites and I am handing off the wedding book to the DOC a few weeks before the wedding to do all the nitty gritty with the vendors and timelines etc.

I'm a bit curious about my gown, it should be in at the end of June, hope it turns out.

Oh my goodness, a 21+ month engagement?  Yowza!  I was just thinking that I'm bored with waiting (he proposed on 12/25/09) until my wedding date (07/03/11).  But, there is an advantage to having such a lengthy lead time ... it is much easier on the cash flow.

To date, our wedding expenses have come from savings.  We just hit the budget limit (allowing for final payments on venue -- includes food -- and photography) with a few things yet unpaid for.  This "extra" time will allow for payment of everything else from cash flow.  But, other than the advantage of paying for everything slowly, I'm just not seeing the advantage of a long engagement.

*sigh*

I'm sure your dress will be beautiful and you'll fall in love with it all over again. 

I still haven't ordered mine, waiting to loos 15lbs to get sized then I'll order it.  I've been on and off my diet this past month and I seriously need to get back on and stick to it.  Anyway, I'm so excited for you.  I'm down to 3months and 4 weeks now myself I can't wait.
