The second marriage...... We both went through a horrible divorce and thought we would never marry again but here we are. We want to celebrate us finding each other. I decided to have an intimate weddind with the two of us and maid of honor and best man. We are having the ceremony videotaped ( the ceremony is up in the mountains and would be hard for guests). We are going to have a reception a month later to share the video of our happy day.We are on a tight budget and can only invite so many people to the wedding and I have people who EXPECT to be invited. So many issues and parents aren't offering to help at all. I feel like even though this is a second wedding it should be celebrated almost like it was our first (it is our first to each other). I have some friends and family tell me not to expect a shower or any wedding gifts (don't bother to register)since it is your second wedding. Please I need advice, some direction, and expectations of a second wedding.
