Second Weddings

Hi. New Here.

My name is Rebecca and I am new here.  We are getting married on October 16, 2011, and it is the second wedding for both of us.  We are both really excited as we both had bad experiences (wedding and marriage) the first time around.  I have 2 kids, my daughter is 8 and my son is 5, he doesn't have kids, though loves mine as if they were his and considers them to be his.  We are getting married in Wildwood, NJ on the beach.  I have my dress, now working on everything else.

Question for all of you - when searching through the site and I find something I want to save to my favorites (like bouquets), if there is no save button and no favorites, how do I save it?

Thanks and I look forward to getting to know everyone!
Rebecca

I think you have to save it to your TK notebook.  I did it once but can't remember how....sorry :(

Congrats on your engagement!  I have a 9 year old daughter and FI has a 13 year old son and 15 year old daugher.  We are getting married in 18 days (yikes!)

Take your time researching, you have plenty of time.  My biggest mistake was rushing in to it and then wanting to change things part way through.
    Good luck and welcome!

Congrats and welcome! I think mma3's advice is accurate on how to save it, again, it's been a while since I did it too.

It's nice when you have allowed yourself enough time to plan your dream wedding to THIS future husband. We did the same, and just passed the 1 year mark. It's allowed me plenty of time to find just the right vendors for us and our budget, plus to save money for what we want.

Good luck in your plans, and come back often. The ladies here are tremendously supportive and fun.

Welcome, Rebecca!  You will find many kindred spirits here ... my FI and I are getting married in July 2011.  It will be my 2nd and his 3rd.

Regarding saving photos to the notebook, I've had mixed results.  I usually just end up right-clicking and saving to my computer.  Not very tech-savvy, I know, but it works for me.  And, apparently for alphabride, too!  ;)

Congratulations on your engagement and have a great time planning everything!  Cheers!

Thanks everyone! We are really excited, as are the kids!

Thanks for the tips. Since the pics need to go to the florist, I may just go ahead and save them to my computer.

Can't wait to get to know all of you!

    Hi Rebecca,

Congratulations and happy planning.  You'll find this board to be very supportive and some of the best advice you can get.

As for  saving pictures, I've tried both way's that the ladies have suggested and they both work.  Enjoy your planning and let us know how things are going.  Have you picked your colors?

By the way, I'm October 16th as well only this year.  39 day's to go, It goes by sooooo fast.

    Take care and good luck,
    Erin

Hello Rebecca. I am very new to the site too, so thank you for asking that question! That's wonderful that you are gettting marrried on a beach. That's what we are trying to plan too, but right now it seems like every option is a good one. It's both of our second marriages, but he was engaged too but called it off. Does that count as a half? I look forward to reading the posts and getting great ideas and advice!
