Best book/bride manual as a present?

Hey there!

My sister just got engaged and as part of her christmas present id love to get her the best bride's manual/book of wedding ideas out there.   Suggestions please!! Everything I'm seeing looks pretty tacky so need some great advice from you all.

  • Also anything that she can use to keep wedding items organized. My SIL got me a planner that was a little on the cheesy side but it was fantastic because if I was looking for a vendor contract, I knew right where it was.
  • A Practical Wedding: by Meg Keene.
    It isn't a DIY manual-I think the subtitile is misleading, but it's full of great advice for all kinds of situations/ideas.
    I also recommend looking at the blog www.apracticalwedding.com . The vendor directory is amazing.

  • I have to second both "A Practical Wedding" and the Miss Manners one MariePoppy posed about. Both were extremely quick reads and both made my wedding planning process so much easier.
