Court house wedding gift question

Ok, so a friend of mine is engaged and has been for almost 2 years now. They do not want to have a full blown wedding and are more than likely going to choose to go to the court house instead. My question is, I want to get her a gift but they have everything they need. So what should I give to them? Knick nacks are a little impersonal I feel for me to give since our enjoyment together has always been very outdoorsy stuff.

  • Cash always goes over well for wedding gifts.

  • I definitely like your idea pele. Normally I view cash as much more impersonal, but given our particular hobbies being our horses and pets in general it would probably be the most logical. Thank you pele :

Gift card also sounds great. They could definitely use a treat now that I think of it. I know they are wanting to buy a house soon too! It's almost like I was stuck on material versus expending on the possibilities with cash/cards. Thank you again! And retreadbride, thank you for the invite.

I have to say I'm a little put off that you put the word wedding in quotes in your title. It implies it's only "kind of" a wedding.
What did you think would happen if you walked up to a group of internet strangers and told them to get shoehorned by their lady doc?~StageManager14

  • I'm sorry it put you off addiel that's not what I meant. I didn't know the etiquette of gifts where a court nuptial is concerned and ended up using quotes. It is a wedding, I didn't mean for it to come off as not being a wedding.
  • Thank you for the edit. I appreciate that.
