Am I doing this right?

I'm a little more than 3 months out from our wedding and just want to make sure that I'm not asking my bridesmaids to do too much. They came to a consensus on a great dress and will each be paying $140 (plus alterations if needed). I've asked that they wear gray or silver shoes - whatever style and type of shoe they are most comfortable with.

I will be paying for hair day of and accessories to wear with the BM dress. Should I also be purchasing their shoes? I'm a little unclear since I've asked for certain color but not a specific shoe.

No I think you gave them enough leeway in shoes that you do not need to pick up that bill as well.

The only question is, did you ask them individually or was this a group at the store and everyone said it was alright? That would be the only ify part since being in the group it is a lot hard for some people to share their "true" feelings because they don't want to start trouble or look bad in front of a group of people.

Other then that, the Bride can choose a specific color of a BMs shoe without having to pay. It is when a Bride as a specfic individual shoe that she should pay.

It was something I asked each of them about individually after they had decided on the dress. We weren't able to shop for dresses as a group so there have been a lot of individual e-mails figuring things out. Thanks!
