Stressed about bridesmaid dresses!

OK, I am really really getting stressed so any helpful non-critical suggestions are welcome!
I have procrastinated a lot on getting bridesmaid dresses and my wedding date is Oct 6th this year.  I'm a first year fellow on call a ridiculous amount of the time and many many weekends and it just kept getting pushed to the back of the list of things to do.
So...now I feel terribly guilty and stressed about the whole thing.  All three of my bridesmaids are out of town in different states and I don't know how to do this.  Do I just go try on dresses here and pick one that they can find near them? What if the shops near them don't carry the specific one I picked?  A lot of the dresses are 3-4 months to come in (why didn't I realize this before!?!!?) but I can get some of them rushed in 2 months for an extra $50, and I would definitely pick up this cost.  Am I better off going to a department store and trying to find a dress there that is available ready to order?  I am looking for a deep royal blue to not-to-dark navy long chiffon dress. Does anyone know a company that will get them ordered in a shorter amount of time?

I would try Ann Taylor or Nordstroms...you can look online for both. Macy's and Lord and Taylor would be other options. They come in quickly. Good luck!!

I agree with pp that you should probably stick with department stores. You can order dresses in a lot less time online or even find it at another nearby location.

Department stores and places like J Crew or the Loft have some nice dresses that would work.

However, David's Bridal is a national chain, so even BMs spread out could either order online or probably find a store near them. The only reason I suggest DB is that, even though they quote 2-3 months, they usually come in WAY quicker (ours came in within 3 weeks-seriously!) If you are worried, you could pay the rush fee, but I do think you will have no issue getting them in time if you order them regularly. I just suggest this route so the girls could try them on (or at least one in a different color) so they know they are getting the right size prior to ordering. If you order from a dept. store online, you can return them and buy a new dress, but that will all add time to the process too.

This a perfect example of a situation where the best choice may be to give them all a color, fabric, and length, and let them pick their own dresses, subject to your approval of course.

I am considering using the website cocomyles for my bridesmaids because they're all spread out across the country too and will probably want to order their dresses at different times (one is pregnant for instance and will probably want to wait as long as she can to order after the baby is born)  you can pick out what you want exactly on there, or you can let them customize to their liking, your call. I think their order time is 6 weeks from order to delivery.

I suggest David's or Alfred Angelo. I had the exact same situation, where i work 60 hours a week, and even though I made it clear to OOT BMs what was to be ordered when, I still had problems. If you aren't fussy, I would just tell them a color and length, or whatever you care about. If you are a bit more particular I would go with one of the big chain stores/department stores and keep checking in with them to make sure they are buying/ordering on time!
