Kind of sad...

So I just found out that one of my BM's is moving to Florida next week, and I'm really going to miss her being here. She agreed to still be in the wedding for me, but she won't make it to the shower or other pre-wedding celebrations. She's such a huge support, and we've been friends since kindergarden, so I'm going to be a bit lost with out her.

Do you have any out of town BM's??

Three out of my four BM including my sister in law (whom I love so much) are out of town.  Luckily my MOH lives about 5 hours away so I think she'll be able to make it the pre-wedding stuff but my sister in law and my other good friend won't.  I try and chat with them about what's going on and ask their opinions, they have both been in a number of weddings so are more than happy to help & offer advice.  I'm sure she will still be there for you as much as she can be.

Don't let it get you down! She will be there on the most important day!

I originally asked 6 ladies to be BMs. One, my aunt who is a Marine, had to back out because of military duty and now will not even be attending the wedding. Another did not order the dress on time due to money, even though I consulted with her about her budget. 

So now I have 4. Two of them are college friends who live 4 hours away, one is my other aunt who lives 2 hours away, and the other is my best friend/MOH who is from 15 mins down the street but is still in college 2 hours away. So essentially they are all OOT. =/

I'm thankful to have my grandmothers here to go shopping with me though. MOH comes home often so she can sometimes come along too if I have something WR to do.

I know how you feel about the friend out of town thing. My Matron of Honor has been my best friend since we were infants and she lives over seas now. 

All of my BMs live out of town from me. One MOH lives in my hometown where the wedding is, the other MOH lives in the UK, while my sister and FSIL live about 6 hours in the opposite direction (I'm in the middle). Thank god for the internet and telephones, that's how we've been keeping in contact over things like dresses. My local MOH is great to bounce ideas off of and the one in the UK got married in our hometown a few years ago and kinda has ideas of things to look at. 

I'm not expecting any pre-wedding parties from them. MOH at home has offered to plan a bachelorette party, but if we hold it here in Chicago, all bridesmaids would have to travel 6+ hours and if it's at home in Columbus, I travel 6+ hours, my sister is 4 hours away, and my FSIL is 12+, and my MOH is 3 hour train to London and then 7 hour plane ride.
