Notes regarding small details?

A few of my bridesmaids have asked about things for the big day such as what kind of shoes/jewelry they should wear...would it be strange for me to write them out little note cards explaining what I'm thinking?

(For the posters who are going to say I'm too picky telling them what to wear...I'm NOT. I am merely suggesting that they wear their own jewelry, as long as that doesn't mean they're looking into feathered headdresses or something haha. Also, regarding shoes-I would suggest black or nude colored pumps, or if they have another idea, just run it by me, but I'm pretty much cool with whatever!)

So...would it be tacky for me to write them little notes with descriptions + a few photos for suggestions?

Why do you need notecards? Can you not just answer them as they ask you? Since you are being so flexible it seems like this is a 30 second convo.

I just thought it would be easier than having seven people repeatedly ask the same question + get the same answer, only to have them ask again a few days later because they just want to double check-so on and so forth.

Sure but it might be easier and quicker to send them an email or text.  Something like, "Hi ladies! Some of you have asked about jewelry and shoes.  I want you all to be comfortable so wear your own jewelry (nothing too flashy) and shoes in black or nude.  If you have any questions, just ask.  Can't wait for the big day!"

I think it's great that they are asking you, and even better that you are so flexible!  I plan on making little "survival kits" for when everyone gets together to pick out the dresses... in them I will have little color swatches for shoes and jewelry to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Don't send them a "recommendations" note- it comes across as too picky.  And the pics are overkill because it seemd you want them to look a certain way.  Also, I would suggest that you set some kind of parameters, since you sound like you still want them to run things by you if they go outside the black/nude route.  

I just sent my girls an email and said to wear silver shoes of their choosing.  I am not particular about the jewelry, but will be giving them a bracelet that they can choose to wear or not wear the day of.

I was an MOH in a wedding just a few weeks ago. The Bride just gave us our specific jewelry as part of our BM gifts, and they were all gold pearl earrings and necklaces in different styles. For our shoes she sent out a message over facebook with pics of shoes to get a style idea and a specific color. It was easy and painless. Gold, strappy, open toed heels. 

Also, I don't think you're being picky! Totally reasonable!
