MFIL is driving me CRAZY!

I know I am not the only person in this world who doesn't get along, can't stand my FMIL.Today, among the other things she has recently been doing to add stress to the over all wedding planning she decides to call my FI and tell him how mean I am and then proceeds to tell him I texted her TONS of rude comments which NEVER happened. I obviously had proof that those things were never said because I had the messages on my phone, but I just don't understand why she can't just let us be happy and enjoy this happy time!! It's so frusterating!! I have tried to reach out and she twist everything I say to benefit her case and no I never did anything to make her not like me, because have her sons attention and they barely spoke before so I don't think that matters!

    First, stop trying to reach out to her if she twists everything.  Let her finally come around to you.  What does your FI say to his mom, when she tries to do these things to you?  Is he supportive of you and tell his mom to stop?

    Well alot of the time she will text me asking a question and then my response gets twisted. He is supportive of me, he has told her she needs to stop several times. This time he told her that she was adding more stress to the wedding planning process and that if she had any more questions then she needed to contact him and then he would get her an answer. Hopefully that helps!

    Yes - take Maire and GLB's advice.  That is absolutely brilliant and, with a bit of luck, this will cause a Come to Jesus moment.  When FI can look his mom in they eye and say "I wrote that mom" I would hope she might open her eyes.

    Kudos to your FI, he is handling this just as he should.

    Ignore her.  Crazies look for an audience.  If you take the audience (you) away she will look for another venue.
