OL Tuesday

Dear Cake Topper,
Where are you?!  My mom says you never arrived but your Etsy seller says you should have arrived weeks ago?  WTH happened?
- Stressed Bride -

Dear Friend,
I am glad you text me your RSVP!  However, I kind of wish it wasn't a 6:30 this morning, on my day off to study for finals...
- Thankful but Sleepy Friend -

Re: OL Tuesday

  • Dear Self,
Get yourself motivated and start that serious job search. Why do I feel like I'm not qualified to do anything?
    Poor Self Confidence

    Dear FI's kids,
Why do you feel the need to beat your toothbrushes so hard on the counter that the whole house can hear you at 6:00 am? Really?? It's my day off!
Annoyed soon to be Step Mom

  • Dear TK Checklist,
    Stop giving me panic attacks.
    -Still behind.

    Dear FI,
    GO GET YOUR PASSPORT.
    -Still behind.
  • Dear Self, Next time you're sick on your day off stay home! Don't let FI convince you to go to the movies. -Sick and miserable at work Cwaggoner- I haven't looked at that checklist in so long! I'm scared it will force me into panic mode since I'm so behind
  • Ash - Yeah, it really has been a lifesaver and a pain in my neck all at the same time. Since we're having a seven month engagement I just kind of set myself up for panic attacks. :)
  • Soon you'll be able to relax cause you'll be married!!! :)

September can not come fast enough for me and FI!
  • cwaggoner - I hate to say it but having an almost 2 year engagement isn't too much better..I am getting ahead of myself and then freaking out because things are starting to loom ahead of me...

Angelsong - what finals do you have left? And RSVP's are a welcome blessing.

ktwed - what field are you looking into getting back into? Job searches are never easy but keep your confidence up! Don't lose hope!

    Dear self and FI,

Get your stuff together and get to work on the wedding website and registry stuff. You are starting to get behind.

    -Worried and frazzled knottie
  • Dear Ash - I ignored that checklist.  Granted, I had Meredith Commender, who is better than any checklist, but still.  :p

Dear Marilyse - I think you'll appreciate the long engagement in the end.  I got really frustrated sometimes that we weren't just married already, but we were able to save up and felt really relaxed by the end.

    Dear Knotties,
I had a dream last night that a student pulled a knife on me.  That wasn't the scary thing.  The scary thing was that his only punishment was three days of ISS and I had to fight to get him removed from my class.  Oh, the faith I have in our discipline team.

  • OH speaking of dreams today and yesterday... FI woke up cranky this morning and told me he had a dream I was cheating on him. I could barely hold in my laughter considering this was the main topic yesterday. I could tell he was really shaken up, though.
So do not fear, ladies, it happens to men, too!

  • Dear body,
I know you have had very little sleep over the weekend and have been on five planes in the last three days, but please don't get sick.
    - less than three weeks left bride

  • Dear fb friend, Is it really necessary to post pictures of your son his gf with the caption "made for each other"? They're 16! Chill. Annoyed fb'er Knotties, I had a cheating dream last night too. But I woke up and fell back asleep so I don't exactly remember what it was.

The cafeteria is providing lunch for all teachers on Thursday, but I thought the memo said it was today, so I didn't bring anything.  Sad bear.  =(

Haha! FI had a dream similar to this. He proudly told me he beat the guy up.
  • Dear Self-
Stop the panic train of quitting your job and enjoy the next few weeks of planning before starting work again.

Also, I am strangely comforted the fact that I am not the only one who feels twinges of panic when the checklist comes up. I have to wonder how we are almost 10 months out already?!?!? I guess everyone was right when saying that time seriously flys by.
  • I haven't looked at the TK checklist since I joined.  There was so much extra stuff on there that I didn't need to do.  Wonder what major thing I've missed out on, lol.

  • Is anyone here have an eye for picking out good paint colors?  I'm going to go buy my SIXTH sample of BM paint this afternoon and hopefully I'll like it better than the others, but I can't seem to choose which one is right.  Different lighting (natural vs. lamp) really screws things up for me.

Trying to paint an accent wall in our master bedroom.  I want to find a nice, relaxing blue (but not BLUE blue) color that's warm but not too dark or bright.  We have espresso-colored nightstands and headboard.  Bed linens will be all white with  some ivory mixed in.  Will have white wall shelves above the headboard (on the new blue wall) and then I bought a sunburst mirror from Target to go above them offset.

If I post pics later, woudl anyone be willing to give me their opinion?  Why was I not informed picking a paint color was such a PITA?

  • Dear Co-worker,
Please do not be mad or upset when I ask if you can just teach me how to do the makeup for my e-pics next Friday, rather than driving in the opposite direction of the location for said pictures for you to do it.

Regarding the dreams - I don't think I've had one of FI cheating or acting suspicious in a while. I try not to eat too close to bed, though, because it makes my dreams nutso.

Right now I'm in retail and want to get completely out of it. I finished my marketing degree last year and would like to get into that field. I took Angelsongs advice and started looking into applying at the hospitals for for a position in maybe a physicians office. I just want normal hours or at least as close as I can get to it and not have to work with college students. I'm like their babysitter.
