Stupid Question - What is "AW?"

OK, I've been trying to figure this out for some time now and it's not on any of the lingo lists that I can find so I'm showing my ignorance and asking.  What the heck is "AW?"

    LOL! it took me a long time to figure it out too.

    It means Attention Whore or Attention Wanted.

    OH!  I knew it was like a "lookie what I did" sort of thing, but I just couldn't figure out what the letters actually stood for.  Thank you so much for clearing that up!
