Bridesmaid Dresses

So I'm needing some advice...I found a dress for my BM that I fell in love with online. We went yesterday to Lulu's bridal to try it on and it was a disaster! The material looked like old drapes. Unfortunately that's how pretty much all of the dresses that they had were like in the teal/turqoise color I'm wanting. I then went to various stores in the area to see if I could find just regular dresses...to no avail. I have 2 BM and 1 MOH so I just need 3 dresses. Any ideas of other places to look in the Dallas area?

Did you try the usual suspects of David's and Alfred Angelo's?  We got my MOHs dress at David's and she loved it.  It had pockets.
  • Ditto Davids. That's where I got my BMs (and 1 grooms girl's) dresses and they love them. The material looks nothing like drapes.

I'm not so good with the advice... Can I interest you in a sarcastic comment?

  • I got my dresses at Stardust Celebrations, and loved their selection! If you're interested in a less traditional route, try Nordstroms, the have fantastic dresses that can be used as BM dresses, and they are actually extremely well priced!
  • J Crew has good dresses, but a little on the expensive side. I think we are going to use Target, as they are a lot more affordable. You can only get them online, which is a little scary, but if they order a size up, alterations won't add much to the price, keeping them reasonable.
  • I got mine from the Bridal Co from in Denton and they were fairly priced. Mine were an aqua color.

I can vouch for the dresses at Nordstrom's.  I have gotten several dresses there over the past few years.
  • i was most impressed with the dresses my girls tried on at Circle Park in Addison

  • I'm also using David's. Alfred Angelo and Bridal Co. have large selections.

  • One of my BMs got a turquoise dress at Macy's. The other BMs got their dresses at David's. I really liked a lot of the different styles at DB.
  • Becky makes them. You have to buy the fabric. She said the cost is the same as buying or can be more depending on the fabric you buy.
  • Try lasting bridal couture in Addison.  They seem to have the best prices and a hugh selection.
  • I'll definately check out some of the boutiques you've mentioned. I've been to the davids bridal and nordstroms and neither have anything close to a turquoise color that looks good for a dress. Thanks!
