Vendor Reviews (w Pics)

My vendor reviews are quite lengthy and I tried to include one picture relevant to each vendor.

Wow, I can't believe your transportation company! I really hope that gets solved.

Other than that, I'm glad to hear that the rest of your vendors worked out so well!

I was iffy about the transportation company from the start because they weren't too responsive, and I should have gone with my gut instinct.  But I was running out of time (since I put this one off til the very end) and they were able to offer both the minibus and the towncar.  I had read controversial reviews on weddingwire about them before the wedding, I don't know what possessed me to decide to use them anyway, I guess I was just about the point where I wanted to check it off my list, but boy, did it come back and bite me in the you know what.

Great reviews Donna!  Who did you end up using for your spa day?

Quite detailed and informative.   Thanks for sharing.   You had an absolutely beautiful wedding.    Boo, Blue Diamond Limos for such poor service.   I am glad everything else turned out okay.

Ooops Stephie I almost forgot, I added in a section there about Nailicious and also the massage therapist we brought in for the spa party.

Thank you for the reviews.  Now we know who not to use for transportation.  I'm so sorry you are having such an issue with them.  Your wedding was so beautiful!

Question for you- thinking about the Filter Building for a wedding with around 175-200 guests.  Do you think there is room to seat that many people, plus dance floor & band space, plus buffet + 2-3 "stations" like you had, plus a photo booth?

I love, love , love the space (and we even looked there for my sister's wedding but it was too big for her), but want everyone to fit.  Plus, I Have my heart set on long rectangular tables & I'm struggling with envisioning how everything will fit.

Babs: I think the max you could have and still accommodate a dancefloor at The Filter Building is 160.  The 200 stated on the webpage is absolutely maximum, that's using every square inch of the space for dining tables, pretty much.

You may want to consider The Arboretum across the lake which has a facility that accommodates more.

I think a nice size wedding for the venue is actually 100-125.  We had just a tad under that, at 90.

Great reviews!  I love how you attached pics with everything.  I'm in love with your photographer.  Always have been, though :)  They were booked on our date (probably too expensive anyway).

So happy that everything (aside from transportation) turned out so great.  Everything was absolutely beautiful!

I was going back and looking at old bios and reviews--SummerB actually gave Blue Diamond an F in her review and said she was waiting for a refund also!

Wow, I guess I must have missed that!  Well, hopefully no more knotties use them since they're repeat offenders.

Thank you!  I think we can work the guest list down...we have a lot of our friends' parents & siblings on the list and haven't decided whether they're in/out.  They may be out if we go with the Filter Building.  It's just hard when you've known them for 25-30 years even if we barely see them anymore!  Maybe we can just keep best friends' parents & not the other parents in the same friend group.

PS- totally stealing your late-night gelato cart idea.  We love Piacugo!!
