Estee Lauder Even Skintone Illuminator?

So my biggest skin concern is acne scarring and uneven skin tone. I still get acne, but if the scars would just go away, my face would look a lot better.

I bought the Clarisonic Mia two days ago, and I'm hoping that the products I use will work better now that my skin is cleaner.

However, I really want to try a new product for the scarring/skin tone problem. I have tried the Clinique dark spot serum and didn't see enough results to keep buying it (used it twice a day for 3 months and it barely did anything). Right now I'm more than halfway through a tube of Garnier dark spot stuff, and I see no difference whatsoever.

I'm thinking about trying to Estee Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator, but even the tiny 1 ounce bottle is $58! Has anyone tried this; is it worth the money?

Or has anyone with my same skin problem had great results with anything else?

  • I've used it.  It's nice, but won't work miracles.

I'd use it, but in combination with glycolic peels.  You can get at home kits on the internets, I'd start with a 30 or 35% solution
