When should I let my bridesmaids know about the expenses for the wedding???

I agree with what you're saying about the concern of the other ladies. I get it, and I accepted and appreciated all criticism and concerns, I even accepted what you all said about the bouquets, but when you start saying that I need to look at the etiquette board (when I have done so several times) and that some of my decisions are ridiculous (when I've put so much time into them)  then thats when I grow defensive because I have the entire BP's interest at heart, and in no way will I turn this into a "Its my way or the highway" type of ordeal.
Now that I am calmer, I apologize to all of the ladies that I have offended. My PP were obnoxious and totally out of character. But, I will say this, I do believe that you can say what you need to say, but just be sensitive and respectful to the poster when responding.

I have never heard of bridesmaids paying for their own bouquet! Personally, if I was asked to be in a wedding and invited to a "get together" where the main purpose is for the bride to tell me how much I need to spend, without asking my opinion first, and especially when some of the things she should be paying for herself, I'd bow out gracefully.

How did I miss the most entertaining thread in weeks on the July 2012 board?!

1. 18 MONTHS in advance?! REALLY?! 

2. You sound like a piece of work and unless you personally asked me what I felt comfortable spending, as your friend, I might be afraid to stand up to you and actually say "I can't afford that." 

3. I can't believe you're asking them to pay for their bouquets. I've read some WP horror stories but that's a first. 

4. Engagement parties, Bridal showers, Bachelorette parties, and a Wedding. Do you really need another party to have all the attention on you?

I think the word "expenses" used so broadly is what makes people worried about what exactly that includes. So that's where problems will arise for next time.

Damnit, my post was too late. I was trying to ETA a really long time ago. Being busy at work and posting from my phone suuucks. Ceglare and avsfan, yes omg. I spent my morning reading that ish. Talk about nutjob. I still don't get, is she really that dense orrr? I mean I'm all for benefit of the doubt buttt, she doesn't help herself much. Did she really not get that she was getting slammed everytime? *shakes head* She's been the talk of the TK boards today. I remember she was actually here for a while, I don't know if she was lost or actually planning on jul 2012 for a while but all I can say is I'm VERY glad she's gone. She has started all sorts of junk everywhere and has gained an annoying reputation on lots of boards. Naturally she doesn't that either. *shakes head again*

I think she's really that dense. She had zero clue about anything. I was really hoping she'd say something when I told her, her FI doesn't serve my country.

holy cow what happened while I was gone???...paying for the bouquet...really? I don't even expect my girls to pay for their dresses. You said you were vacillating over that...don't make them pay. Follow your gut.

Wow! you ladies are still posting on this thread. I didn't know that I could rock the board like I did...I feel like such a rockstar! Glad I was able to bring some excitement to this board LOL!
I will make sure to post more interesting topics like this from now on.
