How do you get lipstick to stay!?

I do not normally wear lipstick so I'm wondering how I get to stay all day, without smudging, especially during the kiss. Can anyone help!?

I use lipstick primer (two faced makes a great one- sold at Ulta) and nude colored lip liner.  I fill in my entire lip with the lip liner.

Sometimes I just put chapstick on top of that, othertimes I use lipstick or gloss.

Putting your lipstick on with a brush instead of right from the tube helps it stay too.

Use a lipstick that's designed for long-wear. I posted below about L'Oreal Infallible Rouge, which was awesome. You paint on the color with a brush, let it dry for a minute, then put a clear gloss coat over the top to seal in the color. My lips were still perfect at the end of our wedding day with the same coat of color that was applied in the morning (just a few additional coats of clear gloss were needed throughout the day). Highly recommended!

Put on lipstick then blot put another coat then powder.
