Aloha everyone!
I'm a bride living in Hawaii and getting married here as well. For exercise, I swim 3-4 times a week in the ocean. As a result, I have some crazy tan lines from my one piece bathing suit that I have to wear (waves and current won't allow for a two piece of anything that will create less tan lines). Yes, I wear sunblock (SPF 70 or higher) all over, every time.
Yet, still, I have a big, white X on my back from my suit that you can see when I try on my gown. My wedding date is June 25th and I plan on continuing to swim. Unfortunately, because of an accident, swimming is the only form of exercise I can do.
I've thought about spray tans, but I'm afraid of looking like an orange- suggestions there? I've also thought about makeup on the white area- but more afraid of that rubbing off onto the dress.
If anyone has some suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate it. I don't mean to complain and if I have to show off my tan lines at the wedding, it won't be the end of the world. I just wanted to tap this great resource here as I know that the knotties have so much knowledge. Thanks in advance!
Re: Tan Lines as a Result of Lap Swimming
Another option you might want to look into is airbrushing. Otherwise, I advise wearing a light T-shirt or cover up from here on out when you are outside so that your tan can fade some before the wedding.

There should be other one-piece swimsuits that would help vary the strap placement as well. I see keyhole back one-piece suits like this from time to time.

I haz a planning bio
I'm training for a marathon so I have a similar racerback white X on my back from sports bras. I still get color through sweatproof sunblock, so I'm going to try running in a rash guard too. Congrats on your wedding and I hope your tan lines evened out like I hope mine will too!
