Bare Minerals Alternative?

I'm a simple make-up kinda girl who'll be most likely doing her own make-up. I use bare minerals and have sensitive skin, but understand that bare minerals is bad for photography! What is a good similar product that won't mess up my pictures?

I also use BM and heard the same thing. I'm having mine done and the MUA uses BM, MAC and Shisedo. I read great reviews on them. Maybe you can go to a local Sephora or MAC counter to get a makeover then you can see what you like. Good luck.

  • I think they make a matte make-up, it's titanium dioxide that is reflective with flash so just look at the ingredients : )
  • I had no issues wearing Bare Minerals on my wedding day. You actually should be fine wearing it. Talk to your photographer, just to be sure.
  • Good ideas! I'll talk to my photographer, look at tingredients, and who can resist at trip to the make-up artists at Sephora?
    Thanks!

  • Hi,
I am a makeup artist and my best advice would be would be to meet with a makeup artist for a consultation. It may cost a small fee, but you can learn a lot and they may have a better insight into what products based on how sensitive your skin is/what it's reacted to in teh past!
it's difficult to say what will work best for you since you have sensitive skin, if you're going to try something new, try it months in advance so if you have a problem with the new product it's not right before your big day.

Higher end brands tend to work best because the quality is better. MUFE (Makeup Forever), Urban Decay and MAC have great products.

    Hope that helps!
