I would personally rather use LiLash growth serum. I've used it for about 7 months and it works like magic! The extensions will pull your lashes off when it is time to be done with them.

I get my lashes done sometimes and can honestly say I LOVE THEM.  Prior to ever getting them, I was scared and nervous because of horror stories.  Now that I have gotten them, I can assure you that it is nothing scary.  They can customize them anyway you like.  Below are photos of my lash extensions, but I asked for a dramatic look.  They can do them more natural if you prefer.  They can do them winged out or longer in the middle too.  I went to a lash store that specialized in lash eyetensions only.  Find a good place.  My first time getting them, they lasted 11 weeks!  It was for a cruise and it was perfect because I did not have to keep applying strip lashes for photos.  They look more natural compared to strip lashes because you cannot see the strip lashes' band.  Its ideal for photography.  Normally lash extensions can cost from $80-210.  I paid $150 my first time.  Fills are normally $60-30.  They also do not pull your lashes off.  They will shed along with your natural lashes when those shed.  I too have used Latisee and can say that it does work on getting them thicker and longer, but will not create more lashes.  If you use that, be careful to not get any in your eye, or you will have permenant dark pigmentation in the eye.
