Scheduling trials

Hello!

I have spoken with a stylist who sounded eager to provide me with a style that I will like.  I sent him e-mails with some ideas and he responded about a month ago.  I wrote back, but the message seems to be lost.  So, I wrote this week to schedule my trial (I am 49 days away as of today).  I had thought that the trials would happen at about a month out and am hoping to schedule make-up on the same day.

He had not responded to my e-mail so I wrote to the salon where he works and was told that he is booked on my wedding day, but that he gets off at 2:00 and might have something different planned for me, maybe even coming to me.  So, they scheduled a trial for the week before.

I have short hair and my wedding is at 5:15.  Make-up is happening at my hotel a few blocks from the garden where the wedding will be held.  Thre other women will be having their make-up done, but I am the only one who will have hair done.  My mom or my seamstress will button me into my dress and my mom will help me with jewelry.  I have been counting on the trials to help me create my day-of schedule which currently includes a 4:45 arrival and does have an impact on others.

This feels a little off and I am not sure what to do.  Please share your experiences with me with respect to scheduling trials adn the day-of.

Re: Scheduling trials

  • I'm sorry!  :(  But it just doesn't sound like this guy is going to work out, especially if he doesn't even "get off" until 2:00--that is just way too late for you.

Let us know how your search goes.  How I looked was very important to me so I completely understand. I hope you can find someone to give you what you want.
