Marriage License HALP!

I read through all of the past posts and even dug around on the Dallas County website but I need halp.
I know all we need are drivers licenses and $$$... but FI is still technically a residence of Los Angeles, and has a CA license (long story about CA resident film benefits). We fully intend on keeping him a CA resident for now, using his brother's home.
Will it be a problem that I'm marrying a foreigner?

    according to this you can get your license in TX for marriage even if neither of you are Texas residents http://usmarriagelaws.com/search/united_states/texas/index.shtml

    not that I'm familiar with that website, but I imagine people having destination weddings might otherwise have problems if you couldn't marry without being a resident of the place you're getting married.

    DOY. I didn't even think about that.
    I'm just paranoid because I don't want to spend any more time in a govt building than is absolutely necessary.

    I don't blame you for being paranoid, it would be awful to not be able to get your license!  I don't remember it being very hard to get my residency switched when I moved here from CT, other than the waiting in line to get my license, so when he does need to switch over it should be relatively painless.

    It's not a problem. As long as his ID is current and he know his SSN and county if birth, he's good.
