Hola ladies-

Anyone have any tried and true remedies for combatting under eye bags? Getting more sleep really isn't an option.

Alot of girls recommend Preparation H--no kidding.  I have never tried it but some swear it works.  I use an under eye gel that I keep in the refrigerator and put on every morning.

On my wedding day, I put cold tea bags on my eyes. for a few minutes.
  • Which gel do u use? I have experimented with a few different ones over the years and have not had results. I have heard of the preparation h thing. I think I might have to try that. And the cold tea bags seems doable to for big events.

  • Witch hazel can be found at almost any drug store.  It is the active ingredient of Preparation H.  Dabbing that on cotton balls and resting them on closed eyes will help.

I have found the simplest things are often the most effective.  Very cold compresses on your eyes will be just as helpful.
  • Always wash your eye makeup off.  The skin around your eyes is very thin.  Eye makeup can seep in and discolor the skin and make your bags look worse.

Right now I am using the Ole Henriksen Ultimate Lift Eye Gel--but I wouldn't get this one.  Probably my favorite one is the one by Mary Kay but Oil of Olay also makes one that I have used. I like both of them better than the one I am using now--I am just trying to use it up.

I use the MK one too & love it. I don't have to use it often, but when I do, it works. <div>
</div><div>Like the PP said, you have to be very gentile in how you treat the undereye area. Only use your ring finger (the weakes on the hand) whenever you apply anything around your eyes. Being diligent about not scrubbing to clean the makeup off & not pulling when you apply eyeliner or shadows. </div>
