What are you doing for your nails?

I know almost everyone does french and at first I was against it and was going to do a pretty light pink color but now I am thinking french will look really nice.

Re: What are you doing for your nails?

  • You can't go wrong either way. The light pink more "natural" look is getting more and more popular. I like both.

I will probably have them do a light pink on me just because I know that if it chips it will be able to fix (I will bring in my own bottle) than a french manicure would be

  • I'm doing a Shellac french, but for extra specialness, I'm adding a coat of a sparkly color for a subtle glitter effect.

I'm torn between the same choices: French vs. a light pink/neutral. I think my MOH said she's getting a French manicure, so I'll probably do the pink.

  • I get sculpted acrylics on bi-weekly basis right now, since otherwise i'd go back to biting my nails. My nail lady, who will also be doing my airbrush makeup, will be doing mine. We have a bland of red and black acrylic powder mixed together, with a little sparkle and looks pretty burgundy when done, that is my normal mix. Right now it's all over my nail. For the wedding I'll be doing french, with tips being the color that I have right now. Then between the tip and natural will be a silvery sparkly stripe that will be thinner on one side and getting wider to the other and will have a little rhinestone.
  • I was thinking about doing a french with a very thin line of silver glitter underneath the white part.
  • I think that wouuld be really cute :)

  • I got my first manicure for my wedding and it was a light pink color. I mean, I had no nails, lol. I bite my nails and work with preschoolers so I'm pretty low maintenance (as you may be able to tell from the "never had a manicure" thing.)

  • I did a dark pink that matched my shoes and one of my BM dresses.

Everything the light touches is my kingdom.
  • My colors are plum and champagne. So my nails are going to match my shoes. They are going to be dark plum. :)

  • Mine are going to be blood red.  Specifically, Bus Stop Crimson from Orly.  It's the perfect dark red that's not brown, not orange-y, and not pink-y.  I like the contrast.

  • I will highly recommend Shellac. That's what I did, in a light pink, and it lasted all through the wedding and our weeklong honeymoon.
  • Oh yes, I always use a gel. Forget regular nail polish, that stuff chips in a day!
  • Orange was one of our wedding colours, so I used a light orange on my fingernails and it looked really pretty. I did silver for my toenails so that they wouldn't clash with my orange shoes.
  • I'm going with nail polish - Essie in Ballet Slippers

  • I think I am going classic--either a "white" or "pink" french manicure...but with the gel polish so it lasts! I will probably go the day before.  Depends upon your personality and style I say--I'm more classic and my dress is pure white, so it works for me.  Go with what works for you and enjoy :)
  • shellac in some sort of jewel tone, probably purple.

  • I reguarly get acrylics done so I'd just do that with a pink and white but I've kinda been toying with the idea of on my ring finger putting a blue ribbon or heart in case the FI gets nervous and forgets which finger to put it on. Not sure if it counts for the something blue but I thought it would be a cute touch.
