What moisturizer to use?

My skin gets really oily throughout the day.  What moisturizer should i use to help with that?  And should i use it during the day or at night?  Uggg

Re: What moisturizer to use?

  • I can't recommend oily skin moisturizer, as those days are long behind me (ah, to be in my 20s again!) but the second question - you should wear moisturizer all the time - each time you wash your face.  You'll be glad you did in 20 years, I promise!
  • I really like Dove. I used to have some oil issues, but I never get greasy skin with Dove. Oddly enough, my greasy skin got much better after I started using Revlon ColorStay for oily/combo skin.

  • Whatever you use, a primer before you apply foundation will help the makeup stay better. The right primer for oily skin will help control the shine.:)

[QUOTE]I use CeraVe--it was actually recommended by my dermatologist and you can get it at Rite Aid, Bed Bath and Beyond, and other similar stores.  I'm someone who has also used more expensive department store creams (upwards of $60 for a small tub) but like the $12 large bottle of CeraVe the best!  I wash my face before I go to bed and first thing in the morning (also CeraVe) and moisturize after both.  There is a CeraVe AM and CeraVe PM--the AM has SPF in it, which is great.

I like CereVe too, but I have dryish skin rather than oily.  It's sort of rich so your greasiness mileage may vary.
  • I use Mary Kay, they have moisturizer for oily skin!

  • I swear by Cetophyl. It's light, hypoallergenic, and you can find it at all the drug stores. I've also used a Mary Kay one and I really liked it.
