Flame-Free Friday!

I am starting this early because its been bugging me since last night and I'm about to leave.

This is a message that some crazy lady left me on facebook, whom I don't know and hadn't ignored her friend request yet. This is beyond creepy and I reported her fast!

"are you ever going to have me as a friend on face book or what, see if i come out for you graduation "

I hope she doesn't fly out to Lubbock for nothing, considering you graduated last month!!

I wish my boss gets over whatever she is having problems with.  I've been back 2 days and have heard nothing but crap from her.  "Do this" "Do that".  I'm trying to catch up from the last few weeks and trying to work on stuff your boss gave me.  And if you haven't figured it out, your boss trumps you.  I know you think you run the whole show but you really don't.

    Ooh that is creepy.

My FFF is that today is the deadline for my girls to get their dresses and 2 out of 3 haven't bothered to do so despite me reminding them multiple times.  These aren't just random friends, one is my cousin and one is one of my best friends.  If they don't have them ordered by Saturday then they are out of the wedding party.

We found great dresses that they all loved and they are only $100!  To order, they only need $50.   I don't think that money is the issue.  My mom thinks I should offer to pay if that is the problem, but I hardly think that is fair for my MoH who got hers on time and paid in full.

I am developing SUCH huge talent crushes on the leads in Show Boat...on guys AND girls.  OMG.  The big guy playing Joe (the one who sings Ol' Man River) seriously brought me to tears last night.  WOW.

I'm so glad it's Friday. I feel like I've barely slept all week and it's pretty ridiculous how little I've accomplished at work. I really need this weekend!

Wise advice from my MIL when hearing that TJ and I don't use the Chase credit card she made us get in order to get money from her for the wedding: "Just close it and open it every time it starts adding interest."

Ballet Bride - Closing and reopening a credit card?  That will damage your credit big time.  Even just closing a credit card will shave a few points off your score.  Opening one does as well.

I would advise against it.  :(

For my own problem... I can't wait until my puppy sleeps through the night.  This getting up every 3- 4 hours to play and go outside is killing me!

I am watching "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" on my iPhone while I'm doing work.  I'm not watching so much as listening but I figured I deserved it since I got all my grades done.

I think it's stupid that my employer sent out an email to employees in the DFW area yesterday encouraging everyone to wear Dallas Cowboys t-shirts and jerseys today.  I dislike the Dallas Cowboys, and I hate Tony Romo.  He looks like the biggest douche when he wears that baret during post-game interviews.

I just bought my first box of Girl Scout cookies :)

Luckily I didn't have wedding related nightmares or bad dreams before the wedding but I have had them several nights in a row now.

Its official. Grey's Anatomy is terrible. I've always kind of thought this, but it has taken an all new meaning of sucking.

Emi, I quit watching Grey's about 3 months ago.  It just became too much for me.  I don't like where they've gone with the show. At all.

And Steph, I think he look dumb in the hat, too.  I'm always like, "whyyyy??" when I see him.  But I do love me some Cowboys...I'm interested to see how they'll play on Sunday.  They'll either decide to show up to the game like they have been the past month or they'll decide to skip it and play like crap.  I'm crossing my fingers.  They've been so inconsistent this year, I never know what to expect.

People on weight loss can be so ignorant.

I've got this girl on facebook who posted a status of not eating anything until she feels like she's going to faint and then she has a cube of cheese.  Then another girl wrote to her that she's using the acai berry cleanse.

DUDES.  Here's the healthiest way to do it:
No sugary, fatty foods.  If you do eat them, do it in moderation.  Work out 4-5 times a week for at least 30 minutes to an hour.  Burn more calories than you consume.
1 to 2 lb weight loss per week is the HEALTHY way to lose weight.

I want to say "Are you serious?  That's not healthy at all!  And those 'cleansing' products are actually harming you and causing you to lose water weight which will just come back the next time you decide to eat a big, greasy cheeseburger and fries with a coke.  Learn your facts".

What's even more awesome is that this girl used to work at the Rec Center at our college.  She KNOWS she's being stupid.  I have a feeling she's doing it just to get attention from her friends.  Tonight or tomorrow I'm deleting her from my friends list because she is stupid and I never liked her anyway.  Plus she has a tendancy to write her status updates in all caps.  Drives me nuts.  Whenever I get around to it, there will be a lot of deletions from my friends list for the simple fact that I don't know these people, I didn't know them well to begin with, and I'll never see them again.

I miss the first 4 seasons.  It makes me sad.

    I have a couple:
    1.  Google.  It's not hard.
    2.  Scroll down.  Also not hard.

I've thought about this for some of the people I went to high school with. They never talked to me there, and we aren't suddenly talking now.

I just had a very surreal experience. While I was eating lunch, I was flipping through a local Nashville magazine called "Her." When I spotted a picture of a bride and groom and realized that I went to high school with them both! I knew that he had moved to Nashville after high school, but she went to NYC. Apparently now they both live here and they got married here. Weird.

When I first got on facebook, I felt like this.  People from my HS were requesting me to be their friend and I wondered why they wanted to talk to me now, when they had completely ignored me during HS, or were even mean to me.

But then I remembered I am a nosey person and I like going through people's profiles that were voted "Most Likely to Succeed" or something similiar and realizing that they never became anything close to that.  I like being able to see karma kick in years down the road for what they did to others during high school.  :)

BUT, I grew up in a small town where 2/3rds of the 55 people in the graduating class (me included) had gone to school together since kindergarten.  So we knew everything about each other and had certain expectations put on us.

I accepted a few "friends" on facebook just because I hoped to see that their lives aren't as good now as they were in high school.  They still seem petty and selfish, but unfortunately life hasn't kicked them in the butt like I hoped it would.  It's disappointing and I should probably delete them from my list.  But having this realization via facebook is probably easier than being confronted with it at a reunion.

I also want to say to the coworkers who felt scorned by our marketing manager this morning.  Get over it.  Look, you KNEW that if you didn't answer her phone it would go to voicemail.  Yet, conveniently, when she reprimands you and copies our OM on the e-mail, you make excuses about how you had no clue!  BS!  "It was so busy yesterday"  Blah blah blah.  Somehow I think I would have managed to pick up the phone even if it had been "busy".  Please stop trying to sugar coat things so that you don't look bad.  It's ok to mess up a little bit and hey, you also got a raise this year while a lot of people (myself included) didn't.  Be glad and fess up.

My brother has a tweed hat like Tony Romo's that we got at Notre Dame.  He looks way better than Tony does but it's called a driving hat.  Not every man can pull it off.
