makeup sweepstakes question

Hi all, I haven't posted here before but have a question. Today I received a voicemail from a David's Bridal makeup artist who said that I won something. She didn't say what I won. I am wondering if this is legitimate and I should pursue it to find out what I "won," or if I should leave it alone. The thing is that I didn't enter any sweepstakes from them- I was there on Saturday with my BMs for their dresses, so maybe they put my name in that way?

At any rate, I'm not sure if this is legit or a scam to use their makeup artists. Does anyone have any experience with this sweepstakes? TIA!

  • Scam, both Davids and AA are partnered with make up for like mary kay or avon ect. They will tell you that you and four friends get a make up beauty session then forcefully try to sell you their products.

I agree that a DB does give your email/phone away to a lot of scams, but Mary Kay is not one of them. I'm a Beauty Consultant and can assure you that MK has absolutely no affiliation. DB does offer photography and honeymoon packages, so it wouldn't surprise me that they may have teamed up with local makeup artists. <div>

Well I know for a FACT Mary Kay gets the list from Alfred angelo as they are partnered...so they may not be with Davids but some are signed with signature stores for AA.

Watch you get a call from Men's Warehouse soon too..they are a DB partner

  • Thank you ladies. I won't be calling back about the "win." I have already been getting many calls from Men's Wearhouse. At first it was okay because I didn't have the tuxes figured out, but now I have the tuxes booked with a different, local vendor and MW's calls are just annoying.

  • In regards to Men's Warehouse.  Next time they call.  Tell them that you are on the Do Not Call List and your phone number is to be removed from there system.  That should stop their calls.
