Bridesmaid's Make Up

WHat's the etiquette for your BMs make up? Is the bride expected to pay for all the maids to have their professionally done? Is it rude if I tell them I am having a make up artist and tell them how much she charges if they want theirs done too?

As I understand, if the bride is requiring BM's to get their hair or makeup done, they will pay. If the bride is making it optional, she usually doesn't pay.
I am not requiring either from my bridesmaids, so I will not pay. I know one girl is doing her own hair and makeup, and one wants to get both done, and the others are somewhere in the middle.
We are all going to use the same 2 people for hair and makeup, but I asked them if the price worked for them before I booked them. I also gave them the option to hire their own person, but no one wanted to do that.

If you don't require it, you don't have to pay. Same for hair. I told my BMs: "I'm getting my hair and makeup done the morning of the wedding at ______ salon at ____ this time. If you would like to have one or both done as well, here are the prices: _____. I would be happy to make the appointments for you if you let me know that you're interested." One BM ended up getting make-up done, but the rest just got hair.

This! I did the same as well. Some girls decided to go elsewhere and some booked with me.

Same as PP, I offered and gave prices 2 are doing it and 2 are not.

Since my BMs are going to pay for their dresses, I'll pay for them for their makeup & hairstyle professional done.

I paid for my girls since I only had 2. It was my sister and daughter and I wanted them to be pampered and us all get ready together.  But I agree with the PP's answers.

Ditto PPs. It is nice but not required that you pay. Just make professional styling an option. 

2 of my BMs said they would do their own hair/makeup. I asked my stylist to come to us at the hotel, so that these BMs could get ready in the same room as us or at least come visit so we'd still have some of that bonding time together. Plus the ladies who are using the stylist and I don't have to worry about driving from place to place.
