Does airbrush makeup cover tattoos?

My sister has a HUGE, and I mean HUGE tattoo of a bird with eyes right smack dabb in the middle of her chest, covering the majorty of her chest (she got it after i asked her to be in my wedding). I told her that i kind of wanted her to cover it up, and she agreed (i will pay for this since i asked her to cover it up). She has other tattoos, which I dont mind if she shows, but this one is just... very noticable and very distracting. Well, anyways, does airbrush makeup cover tattoos of this type? or what would your reccommend? She is very, very, pale and I am worried about her chest being all color-distorted with regular powder or mineral makeup, which wont cover it.

If the entire tattoo is visible with her dress, I wouldn't bother covering it up.  I doubt airbrush make-up with cover this.  Ulta used to carry a heavy concealer-type product that was sold specifically to people who wanted to cover tattoos.

but if it's 100% visible, it might look worse if you try to cover it.

Let your sister's freak flag fly proudly.  Her tattoo is part of her body and nothing to be ashamed of, and you should accept all of her.  Plus, think of the future of your relationship -- I can guarantee you that someone with multiple and prominent tattoos deeply resents your asking her to cover any of them up, even if she is trying to spare your feelings by saying she doesn't care.

I noticed a tattoo cover kit at David's Bridal. I did not notice the cost. It might be worth a trial run if you still aren't comfortable.

Not true in all cases.  I did it with no complaints and I love all of my art.  My cousin asked, I complied - no big deal.

I've heard a lot of time the tattoo cover ups don't work that well so I would do a trial. I don't think air brushing will work. I would contact a make up artist.

Have you already picked out bridesmaid dresses? You could pick one that covers her chest.

One like that could at least make it less destracting.

As a person with a lot of tattoos, I've tried various ways to cover them.  I have incredibly pale skin too, which I think makes it a lot harder.  I've never been able to find a makeup light enough to look realistic, and even with something that matched partially, it still looked awful.  Then if anything hit it, it always rubbed off or scraped off, much to the dismay of the person who was putting it on.
There might very well be some kind of more professional makeup to cover it, but if she's anywhere close to as fair as I am, you might have issues.

Anyway, the moral of my story is that if you want a tattoo covered, I've found that, for me, the only foolproof way to cover it is with an object (clothing, jewelry), not makeup.

</div><div>It does cover tatoos! it's an amazing tool.... ask the make up artist to primer use a lock & seal product elf sells this kit and then apply the airbrush! and the tatoo will be covered all day longer
