French manicure for e-pics - Gel?

Hi all. I'm thinking of doing a french manicure for my e pics since I'll be wearing two different color dresses and it will match them both, however, I notice when I get a regular polish french mancure or even do it at home myself, my nails look yellow under light and the sun. Would a gel or acrylic manicure fix this? Thanks for the help!

I've done a gel french manicure before and my nails have never looked yellow under light. So I'd suggest gel polish! Plus they won't chip as easily.

  • If you want fakies, definitely do pink & whites. They're a little more expensive but they look way better than anything else. Most places have different shades of the pink and the lighter the pink, the more natural they look.
  • Thanks ladies! I'll check what my nail salon offers and try ethe gel and the pink/white before the pics!
  • do shellac, not only will it last longer and be tougher, it'll look better when done by a professional, I am actually a licensed nail tech and I still can't do it as well as someone else can!
