Diving into planning - Venue help!

Re: Diving into planning - Venue help!

  • I always read these boards and have gotten some great vendors on here, yet I have never posted. I think i have a good suggestion for a "hill country" themed venue out here. I wanted the same thing for my wedding, and we ended up going with Heritage Ranch Golf Club in Fairview for our Sept. wedding. They have a nice big ballroom and an outdoor patio and a large oak tree for ceremonies outside and the price is really reasonable for a country club!

Thank so much for posting! It does look rather reasonable, I have requested more info already :)
  • Not sure about your location but I am getting married @ The Milestone in Denton TX.  Its a big mansion with options of indoor or outdoor ceremony. They have alot of included items (dj, cake, decorations, food).  Thats what sold us because we didnt have to go find vendors.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: Diving into planning - Venue help! : Iloved Howell family Farms.. but I got a quote and they are EXPENSIVE! McKinny Cottomn Mill is completely booked when we would want to have it...  :(

Congratulations forst of all! Have you tried the Flour Mill in McKinney?
  • I'll have to 3rd passing on the Northeast Wedding Chapel. Although I've never been to a wedding there, I have passed by it many times and as PPs mentioned, it's just in a weird location. It's also on a really busy street, which I didn't care for.

I'm not sure if it's the kind of rustic that you're looking for but I'm getting married at the Rose Chapel in Fort Worth and they do have an outdoor ceremony/indoor reception option. They also have the indoor chapel for a plan b. It has a very vintage, historical feel to it, but without being fancy schmancy, and their pricing and policies are great.
    Anniversary
  • I am looking for the same kinda vibe. If you are willing to drive kinda deep into country down a winding backroad. K star ranch in Mansfield is really pretty! I checked it out the other night and it was all lit up and gorgous.

I have looked at the K-Star online, but I havent contacted them yet. I hate how all these ranch type venues have websites that look llike they were done in the 80's because the pics are never very flattering!!! But I could tell it would be beautiful!!!

We are actually going to look at the Trinity River Audobon this weekend.. a tip froma colleague. It looks beautiful, and really reasonably priced.

I was going to come on today and suggest the TRAP.  One of our Knotties had her wedding there last year (I attended it).  It was beautiful.  I wouldn't say it's rustic though.  Here was her wedding:

If you choose it, I would really try for a sunset ceremony.  It was just breathtaking.
