Airbrush VS Mac

Hey ladies! Just wanted some feedback! What do you think is better?? Airbrush or Mac? Airbrush is extremely expensive and I have never done that before. To get it done is $150 dollars alone and practice is $100! But my sister is a firm believer that I should do it because its my wedding day. On the other hand, I love Mac makeup and it would only cost me $50! What do you think? Honest opinion and don't pay attention to the price....

Those were my two options as well. Even though airbrush is more expensive, that is what I decided to go with. I want to look flawless and have my makeup last all day, which is what I heard airbrush does, I'm not having a trial though because my wedding is in Hawaii and I get there a day before so I really have no time. I do think $150 is a bit pricy though. I'm paying $175 for hair and airbrush and I'm having it done in my hotel room. Can you shop around?

• My personal felling is MAC is often over the top and may not be the look you're going for on your wedding. If you go this route go for a trial. Remember you also have to buy products from them to get your make up done.

• I'm a MAC girl haven't tried airbrushing. I would stick with MAC just find a MUA you really like.
• I'm doing Airbrush and am unfamiliar with Mac products so I'm not able to help on that front, BUT... My airbrush quotes were between $35-$60. I went with a salon that will do my hair and make up for $50/each (hair and make up). I'd suggest looking around for other prices if possible :)
• I read so many good things about airbrush, but I typically wear a lot of heavy makeup daily (dang you teenage acne scars), so my MUA actually said I may not like airbrush. If you don't typically wear a lot of makeup, airbrush will be great. I also got my makeup done at Sephora for engagement pics and was very pleased with it. I also like how, unlike Mac, you can choose from all sorts of makeup brands and ranges of color.

Just get makeup the old fashion way. $150 is spendy. You can get your hair and makeup done together for that price.

• I did a trial run with airbrush and hated it. It could've just been my experience, but if you need a lot of coverage, I don't think airbrush is for you. I had some blemishes I needed covered since switching to a new BCP and airbrush did not do the trick at all. I ended up going with regular make-up.

My experience with airbrush was great. My 15 year old daughter had acne at the time of my wedding and my MUA actually suggested airbrushing to cover it and her skin looked flawless (PIB). I had a very experienced MUA though and that could have been the difference. I don't have any experience with MAC products though. I agree that a trial of either one you go with is a good idea. If you aren't a big makeup user, the $50 you have to buy in MAC products, might be better spent going towards airbrushing. IMO, airbrush is worth every penny.
• Honestly, I don't have anything cover up. No scars and hardly any blemishes. I usally only break out when I am about to get my period and that is usually at the top of my forehead where my bangs can cover. So I am unsure if I should bother with airbrush.
• I have really good skin and still chose airbrush. I was just pointing out that my experience with my daughter that had acne was a good one also. I had my trial with regular foundation but having already done airbrush for Epics, I definetly preferred airbrush.
• I really want the airbrush as well but it is dreadfully expensive ($300 in Atlanta wiht trial and application day of). But I guess if you have to pay MAC $50 bucks twice and you aren't going to use the stuff that's a waste.

It is super expensive in this area. I'm using the girl that did hair and MU for my sister's wedding last year. She's great and her prices are better than everywhere else we looked. Her website is www.faceofmakeup.com.
