Okay, my hairstylist of 7 years is moving. OUT OF STATE. Grrr. So she won't be here to do my wedding. And I had no idea who was going to do my makeup anyway. So I started searching local vendors through The Knot and found a place in town that will do both hair and makeup for the whole bridal party (up to 8 people - I have 5 - and they come to you) for about $1000.
Is that too expensive? Should I be looking somewhere else? I have no idea how much this should all be costing me since I wasn't planning on using anyone except my usual girl.
My mom, who is footing the majority of the wedding bill, did not sound thrilled at the idea of spending that much money. So I said fine, we'll just do hair and makeup ourselves. I know, I'm a tad snippy. But I want to look good!!
