Cellulite...blah!

I have a little on the back of my thighs. Is there any creams or lotions that can help? Or any certain exercise targeted for that area that can help it to go away? I would not classify myself as a large person. I'm just pear-shaped. I've heard that most women with "curves" can be affected by this. Is there any truth to that?

Re: Cellulite...blah!

  • Jergens Firming lotion is the only thing that has ever helped me.  And I'm fairly fit and toned, and even at my best have had some cellulite so I've done research on it and a lot of what I've found says that there are some factors you can't overcome - namely genetics.  I would research topical creams (Jergens, or I've heard the Bliss treatment is good too) and go from there.
  • I picked up NIVEA Firming Cellulite Gel-Cream on my lunch. Hopefully it helps. If not I will try the ones you mentioned.

  • A firming lotion may or may not help a bit.. A lotion that has a shimmer to it would also help hide it.
Ultimately cellulite are fat pockets from excess weight and/or genetics.
some larger girls have it, some fit girls have it.

Unfortunately there is no such thing as spot reducing,b ut things like lunges and squats may help tighten up your skin a bit.
  • Exercise will have only a negligible impact on cellilite, if any. Any muscle you tone will still be under the layer of cellulite. No creams or skin treatments can actually get rid of it that's unfortunately impossible. But some creams can do a good job temporarily reducing the appearance of cellulite. I also hear the bliss stuff is great.
