I've been thinking alot about the special dances at the reception lately. My dad passed away years ago, so clearly I won't be able to do the traditional dance. Originally FI said that he could just skip the traditional Mother/Son dance also and we'd just not have either so as not to make me faal uncomfortable. However I don't think he should skip it. From my perspective I would give anything to dance with my dad, so I don't want him to miss out too & regret it later just because of me.
So I wondering what anyone else in a similar situation has done, seen at other weddings or is planning to do? I was thinking maybe some dedication to my mom since she raised my brother & I, dancing with my uncle (dad's brother), or something like that... But I'd love your thoughts or other ideas! Thanks!
Our baby!
