wedding rings

is there a right way or a wrong way to wear you wedding rings? does it matter if your engagement ring is on first then your wedding band or wedding band first then the engagment ring? thanks for any insight .

I have only ever seen it with the wedding band on first followed by the engagement ring

The reason (so I have heard) is that your wedding ring is closest to your heart if you wear it first on your finger.

Traditionally it's wedding band first, then engagement ring outside.  However, I don't see any reason you couldn't wear them however you want.

I've been wearing my engagement ring then wedding band...don't think it matters.

I believe in using the wedding band to protect the engagement band. Wedding band on the outside. But I probably won't wear both because if I really want to protect my engagement band, I won't wear it every day! lol

My engagement ring is a  very sentimental heirloom so I am planning on wearing my engagement ring on the inside. My father bought my mother  a diamond ring for their 15 year anniversary (quite a while back) and she wears it under her wedding band to protect it.( They were very poor when tehy first got married and when he could afford her a nice ring down teh line he got her exactly what she wanted)
