My fiance and I have been discussing the bouquet and garter toss lately and while I really want to toss my bouquet (I guess it's a girlhood thing I'm still attached to) he doesn't want to toss a garter and cause an awkward moment potentially between complete strangers. How can we still do the bouquet toss and not the garter toss? Does the lucky lady just catch the bouquet and that's it? I was thinking of doing a slow dance afterward between the "bouquet-catcher" and her date, but supposed she's flying solo? I'm not big on the whole "prize" idea...I don't want my wedding to seem like a fundraiser or something. Any suggestions as to what to do after the toss?
