I'm an only child and very close with both my mom and dad. My mom has been saying for YEARS that she wants to dance with me at my wedding to this one particular song. I am already planning on doing a F/D dance, but I think a M/D dance would just be weird. What would we do? Do you dance just like you were dancing with a man? I just feel like it would be awkward to focus on two songs with me dancing with each of my parents.
Our other idea was to have an all mothers/daughters dance because we have a few sets of mothers/daughters who will be at the wedding. The catch is that my FMIL's daughter is estranged from their family and isn't invited to the wedding. I feel like we would make her feel bad because she wouldn't have her OWN daughter to dance with if we did this idea.
