Ideas for honoring fathers

My wedding is on Father's Day of this year.    I want to do something special to honor, if possible, all of the fathers who attend our wedding.  And I defiinitely need to think of something cool to do for my dad, the groom's dad, our officiant and our grandfathers who will be attending.

The problem is I am BROKE.  Any ideas?

Re: Ideas for honoring fathers

  • Give a toast expressing their importance. Just keep it short and sweet and the sentiment will be there.
  • Incorporate something your two Dad's would enjoy and invite all others to join in.  For example, a lounge area with cigars or a cigar rolling station.  You could put up a note of thanks or dedication to Dads.  You could put up pics of your Dad's with each of you and ask others to bring ones to display (you can even get them in advance) like those done with the married couples coming.  A toast would be very nice as well.  There's lots to do...depends on your wedding style and how much focus you would like on it.
  • A toast and/or photos sounds great.  I am honoring my dad who has died with his favorite flowers and a picture of him and me at the entrance to the reception.
