My parents have been divorced since I was about one. They both have remarried and they have both been a part of my life. The problem I am facing is who to walk me down the aisle. Obviously I want my dad to walk me down the aisle, no questions there. But I was considering having my step-father walk on the other side of us. So it would be my dad, me and my stepfather. Any thoughts?
When I mentioned this to my dad at first he was less than thrilled as I can understand. But after some thought he told me he was okay with it and thought it was nice that I consider my stepfather that much to include him like that. I just still feel like I am stuck. The last thing I want on my wedding day is a memory of my dad gritting his teeth and "dealing with it" as he is walking me down the aisle.
Any suggestions or help??? will be much appreciated!
