ok so earlier i had asked my dad to do the toast to the bride and he said he would cry too much if he tried (i know he would haha) but tonight he said that him and my mom would of course go up, thank everyone for coming and how happy they are that we're married but that the toast to the bride traditionally is NOT the father....is this true??i always thought it was!! he said its usually someone else and it's like a little roast of the bride! i dont want a roast! i dont' remember ever going to a wedding where the bride was roasted, and everyone i know who got married, had their father do their toast!
am i crazy here? where can i find the etiquette of speeches and who says what??
