Hi there. Needs some advice. My fiance and I are getting married on Maui in October. I am Jewish and he is a two-day Catholic. His mom is insisting on a priest. I am ok with a non-denominational officiant, but if there is a priest, I will want a rabbi there too. Basically, neither or both. I would rather neither to cut down on cost. Are there even any Rabbi's on Maui???
I have been told that Priests in HI will only marry you in a church. Obviously, I cant/wont get married in a church. Also, we are having an outdoors wedding.
Can anyone confirm that a Priest in HI will not marry anyone outside of a church so I can tell my future MIL we cant have a priest? (without lying to her, of course)
