I'm really torn between two people to be my Maid of Honor. I love them both dearly, but here's the dilemma...
Sister: My sister and I have had a very rocky relationship in the past, but we've been getting along swimmingly for the past year or so. She got married two years ago, and I wasn't in her wedding party (a lot of drama led up to the event where she told me I was out of the wedding party). She got married very young, and still is very immature (although she has grown up a lot since having a baby).
Friend: I've been friends with another girl since we were 11. She's not my closest friend ever, but she's definitely been a solid fixture in my life for the past 15 years. There's really nothing else to say about her- she's a great girl, and she's always been there for me when I've needed her.
The other two girls who are standing up are my fiance's sister and another friend of mine (I haven't known this friend nearly as long as the first one, though).
I'm really leaning towards asking my sister, but I wanted to get some input. I don't think I would be setting myself up for too much of her drama (my sister lives out of state), but it's not like I've ever dealt with the stress of planning a wedding before.
