Polish traditions

Hi everyone!

Does anyone know any polish wedding traditions? We would like to incorporate some into our wedding because we both come from polish backrounds. Thanks!

Christine

Where does your FI fall in the birth order? The Polish people I know have a tradition where if the older brother is still single when the younger brother gets married, he has to stand in a tub (like a big galvanized wash tub) and dance with the younger brother at the reception, or something along those lines.

The DJ playing polkas is an obvious one.

It's actually kind of funny for all involved, but YMMV. I understand that some cultures and traditions are seen as stupid and tacky by others who weren't brought up in them.
