Shower for long distance bride

I'm a long distance bride (live in CO but the wedding and most of the guests are in MA). My MOH is planning a shower in MA but how do I get gifts back to CO? If they are from a store I registered at can I return them and buy then again when I get home? Is there a semi-reasonable way to ship them? If we were 8-10 hours away I'd just drive but the drive from CO to MA is a little too long for that! How have other brides delt with this?

Have the same problem - I'm in Houston and my wedding's in Milwaukee.

We're bringing an empty suitcase, but we're not asking for anything too big, so I don't know if that's feasable for you.

I'm with you, though.  I'd love some other ideas now that you have to pay to put a suitcase on a plane.  Major BS.
