"Used" Diamon

I have a diamond that my Dad gave my Mom. I think we should use it becuase it would save lots of money for a ring, but their marriage did not last...Is the diamond jinxed??? Should we use it or not??

A material possession has nothing to do with the state of a marriage, successful or not. If you like it then use it!

I would use it. It isn't jinxed - their marriage led to you, right?

I don't think it's "jinxed" ... I mean, unless their marriage didn't last because of something the diamond itself did, it's a safe bet that your mom could have had any diamond in the world, and it wouldn't have worked out.

I personally wouldn't use a diamond my bio-dad gave my mom. But I also have a very strained relationship with my bio-dad, and I really don't give a crap about any of the stuff he ever gave her.

I think if you have a good relationship with both parents, then I don't really see the big deal. If you like the diamond, use it.
